- Tony Cohan, author of ON MEXICAN TIME and MEXICAN DAYS (2006)

A little about us

Between them, Gicela Morales (born in Tolimán, Querétaro) and Steve Bridger – have nearly twenty years’ experience building, creating content, editing, and marketing websites.

Gicela and Steve were instrumental in the development of travel websites such as Expedia.co.uk and intoFrance.co.uk.

They are passionate about Mexico and their goal through this website is to inspire and educate so that more people become aware of the ‘real’ Mexico.

Mexico – Our Passion, Your Business

Our impressive list of contacts means we are well positioned to recommend cross-promotional activity involving the tourism, culture, media and business sectors. Mexicanwave is well established (it all started in 1999) and respected within the Mexico ‘loop’ in the UK.

For example, Mexicanwave created an extranet for the Mexico Tourism Board’s regional office in London and websites for clients ranging from the British Mexican Society to fiestasofia, a Mexican catering business. We were a core sponsor of the Latin American Film Festival held every September in London cinemas until 2002, and you can even swing back a “Mexican Wave” cocktail in several London bars.

Travel responsibly

Mexicanwave is a member of Tourism Concern and we ask that travellers travel responsibly at all times.

Climate CareWe also encourage all travellers to offset their air travel emissions. Climate Care’s website features a nifty tool – the Air Travel Calculator – that calculates the amount of CO2 created by you on your flights. For example, on a return flight from London to Mexico City each passenger is responsible for releasing the equivalent of 2.5 tonnes of CO2.

And finally… The Mexico Network and LAMP

Mexicanwave is a founding member of a pioneering partnership begun on Christmas Day 2001 with two other award-winning websites – MexConnect and Planeta.com. All three websites cross-reference each others’ complementary content, exchange skills, and ‘chat’ frequently to share plans and determine how best to build on their business relationships for mutual benefit.

The Mexico Network can offer you a unique opportunity for integrated and co-ordinated promotion across three websites, with a staggering 1m visitors a month between them. Email us or visit the website for further information >> http://www.mexiconetwork.info

Mexicanwave also accepted an invitation from Ron Mader of Planeta.com to become a member of the Latin America Media Project.
